FORECASTING ECONOMIC INDICATORS OF AN ENTERPRISE

The article is devoted to the actual topic of forecasting economic indicators of enterprise development, which reflect the economic and financial performance of the enterprise and determine its competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets. The purpose of the work is to develop trend models for forecasting economic indicators based on retrospective analysis to determine the directions of enterprise development for the future. Forecasting indicators is necessary for a qualitative planning of the enterprise’s sales activities, for determining future revenue from the sale of products, allows substantiating the directions and goals of strategic development, determining production volumes and forming an optimal budget. The forecast can be expressed in physical units or in monetary terms, but most often a value indicator is used. Significant attention is paid to forecasting issues in scientific and practical activities. Complex mathematical forecasting models require qualified personnel at the enterprises where the models are implemented. Medium-sized enterprises require simpler models. The methodology of forecasting is diverse and can be very complex. Forecasting requires the use of large information databases and computer programs, which is why economic and mathematical methods are often used. In this work, the author uses simple trend models to forecast revenue and profit at medium-sized enterprises, as these two economic indicators are closely related. The author carries out a retrospective analysis using modern methods, develops trend models, and forecasts the company’s revenue and profit. Based on the company’s real data, the developed trend forecasting models are tested. The calculations of profit and revenue for 2025 and 2026 are performed.
