The article has revealed the issue of formation of ethnic identity of the primary school children at the multicultural educational environment. The basis of social status of each individual is his cultural or ethnic belonging. Multicultural education accepts uniqueness of each ethnic group and universal values. Additionally, the features of multicultural education have been revealed, and the model of formation of ethnic identity of the primary school children at the multicultural educational environment has been provided. The model has reflected the development of cognitive, emotive, connotative and creative spheres of the personality of the prime school child in the conditions of the system of developing education in the process of formation of ethnic identity.
