| Annotation: | The main problems hindering innovation development in Russia have been outlined in the article. The role of the government in the development of domestic innovations has been shown. The author has concluded that in order to achieve effective cooperation between the government and private business in the innovation area it is necessary to create national innovation system – the system of institutions, relations, social practices that fix the achieved results and create new possibilities of the movement towards the set goals. The formation of the regional innovation system has been shown, and priority areas for innovation activity in the South Federal District have been identified. |
