Annotation:

The article examines peculiarities of development of strategies of small businesses. Selection of subject of research is caused by the fact that in conditions of dynamic environment middle and large companies, as well as small businesses need strategy of development. The authors specified definition of ‘strategic development’, determined the essence of processes of strategic planning and management. The content of stages of the strategic management process is revealed, as well as the main components of the company environment analysis are provided. Additionally, classification of companies’ strategies was analyzed and the strategies most suitable for specificity of small businesses were identified.
