Annotation:

The article examines the Russian folk culture as the ethnopedagogical phenomenon and the benchmark of national cultural and educational policy. Basic approaches to research of Russian folk culture are analyzed and generalized. The relevance of the Russian folk culture pedagogical potential implementation in educational institutions as a key factor of teenager creative abilities effective development is proved. The article provides results of diagnostic experiment aimed at revealing the attitude of modern teenagers, parents, teachers and the supplementary education teachers towards the Russian folk culture; their conception of pedagogical role of the Russian folk culture in art education and esthetic education of pupils. Based on the diagnostics results, the role of the Russian folk culture in contemporary teenage art education is revealed.
