TUTOR SUPPORT IN THE PRESCHOOL YEARS: CHARACTERISTICS AND MODELS

Annotation:

The article discusses the main characteristics of the activities of the tutor to accompany the preschool children; regulatory base regulating the activity of the specialist. The key terms of tutor support in preschool education are as follows: reliance on the game as the leading activity at preschool age; excessive outdoor educational environment; cooperation between the members of the teaching staff, external social institutions and parents; the use of navigational charts and educational routes; arrangement of preschooler’s reflection. Three main models of tutor support for preschoolers are identified: 1) developmental; 2) support in a specific subject area; 3) support for children with disabilities with regard to the nature of limitations.
