| Annotation: | The article examines evolution of different types of economic activity in Russia and abroad. There are many approaches to the role of private farming, the farmers’ movement, and modern agricultural holdings. The national economy branch dealing with crop production, livestock and related industries plays a strategic role regardless of its name in different periods: from slash-fire farming system to the modern sowing complexes with satellite navigation. The study presents historical excursion into the history of development of the farmers’ movement in Russia and abroad. The concept, essence and main characteristics of the different views on the nature of individual farms are investigated. |
