The article discusses the behavioral economics in the digital space (hereinafter DS) and its impact on the reason for ranking on the example of the Russian Federation in the current situation. There is now a strong development of the platform economy of social media, and this affects the social and cooperative behavior of people in the real sector of economy through various mainstreams in the DS, which in turn changes the position of the country in international rankings and leads to “mainstream ranking” and analytical uncertainty in longterm indicators. Analytical uncertainty in the long-term indicators of previously developed strategies for the development of the country forces us to switch to weekly, daily indicators in current situations. Behavioral economics in the DS combines elements of economics and psychology, its study will allow us to understand the reasons for people’s behavior in the virtual world and its consequences which are transferred to the real world. Thus, group behavior becomes the basic unit of economic analysis in the digital space. This trend negatively affects the business layers of small and medium-sized enterprises of a state, public-private and private nature, which are designed for users who place orders via the Internet. Transnational companies and states are increasingly using tools of the behavioral economics in the DS to increase sales of their products, through the capture of the digital space of other states, which affects economic security in general in the short or long term. Based on the analysis, the author’s extension of the theory of behavioral economics is proposed, through the introduction of the concept of economic Internet psychosis in the DS. Examples are given of reducing the impact of the behavioral economy of the People’s Republic of China).
