BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY: THE MISSION OF ENTREPRENEURS AS THE BASIS OF THEIR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Annotation:

The concept of corporate social responsibility has become firmly established in global and domestic business practice. Making a profit, although it remains a priority, is far from being the only goal of companies. Today, many of them build their business philosophy with account of the demands and needs of society, taking an active part in the implementation of various kinds of social projects and programs. The paper presents such key foundations of domestic entrepreneurship as the formation and consistent implementation of a socially responsible mission, education of social responsibility of future entrepreneurs at the early stages of their formation and development. Traditionally, their philosophical foundations are on the ethical plane. Examples of the activities of well-known Russian representatives of the business community and major domestic patrons who put attention to employees and service to society above economic interests and this, including at critical moments for the development and existence of their business, provided them with reliable support from society and the state. It is proposed to establish at the federal and regional levels a system of encouragement and motivation for domestic entrepreneurs who have proven themselves reliable and socially responsible representatives of the business community and have ensured the implementation of high standards of social protection for their employees. In addition, the authors suggest that systematic formation among modern youth of a responsible attitude to ensuring the proper quality of products (work performed, services rendered), to creating conditions for the social protection of future subordinates, their comprehensive development and self-realization, including on the basis of studying examples of responsible attitude to doing business by well-known large domestic entrepreneurs in the past, could significantly increase the social responsibility of business communities, including through the examples of parents’ responsible attitude to running a business, and promote their role in ensuring reliable social security of various strata of Russian society.
