The article deals with the problem of implement-
ing the continuity of physical education in the “school — tech-
nical university” system. The continuity of physical education
between a secondary school and a technical university is one
of the prerequisites for successful education and adaptation of
an applicant to higher education. The scientific article exam-
ines the use of practice-oriented elective courses in physics as
one of the means of organizing the continuity of physical edu-
cation. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign sources
on the organization of continuity of physical education between
schools and technical universities, it has been revealed that
domestic researchers are more interested in the forms of orga-
nization of career guidance, and foreign researchers are more
interested in the peculiarities of adaptation of schoolchildren to
the university environment. The relevance of the research is due
to the contradiction between the need to create a system that
ensures the continuity of secondary schools and technical uni-
versities and the need to create a set of conditions that ensure
this continuity. The article defines the directions of the imple-
mentation of the continuity of physical education. The sample
program of the elective physics course “Electronics Expert”
may be of interest to physics teachers at school and physics
teachers at higher technical educational institutions for career
guidance. This elective course will allow students to make an
informed choice towards engineering areas of higher education.
An increase in the number of practice-oriented elective cours-
es in physics is possible due to the evolution of information
technology and the emergence of new digital laboratories, as well as sets of educational equipment. Promising directions for
further research in the field of continuity of education between
schools and technical universities are identified. |
