Juvenile delinquency remains high, as evidenced
by official statistics and high-profile crimes. The motivations for
juvenile crime stem from both dysfunctional family and social
environments. Contemporary scholars note that the problem
of juvenile delinquency can be effectively addressed through
targeted educational interventions that address their value system.
This article examines the axiological approach as a methodological
basis for preventing antisocial behavior in minors.
It is argued that the effectiveness of preventive efforts is directly
linked to the development of prosocial value orientations
in minors. The aim of the study is to identify the essential characteristics
of the axiological approach and substantiate its leading
role in preventing antisocial behavior of minors. The author
links the development of prosocial behavior to the development
of values in minors, focusing on the formation and development
of values related to family, friendship, work, education, healthy lifestyle, citizenship, and patriotism. The author emphasizes
that the development of positive values is an effective means
of preventing antisocial behavior of minors. The axiological
approach to pedagogical prevention aims to develop prosocial
value systems in minors, which become internal regulators
of behavior and reduce dependence on external prohibitions.
This approach, which underlies the prevention of antisocial
behavior, promotes the development of values in minors, which
helps them find meaning in life and, as a rule, reduces the risk
of their involvement in criminal organizations. |
