The article is devoted to the problem of professional
and personal development of students of pedagogical
specialties, the formation and development of their value
orientations in the process of studying at the university.
Prioritizing humanistic values is becoming particularly relevant
in the context of the implementation of a competence-based
approach to teacher training, which defines a set of attributes
of a modern teacher’s professional profile, including readiness
for health-saving activities that protect the life and health
of students. In addition, the professional efficiency and effectiveness
of teaching activities associated with high-intensity
work, mental and physical exertion depend, among
other things, on the level of formation of skills to increase
the adaptive reserves of the body, stress resistance, restoration
of internal resources based on knowledge of the basics of health
and a healthy lifestyle. Consequently, in the process of professional
development of future teachers, it is necessary to create
conditions for actualizing the need for health-saving activities,
the essence of which is reflected in the following stages: awareness
of the contradiction between available opportunities
and the objective need for health-saving activities in the context
of future professional activities; formation of the need to
improve their own health-saving competence; transformation
of this need into relevant health-saving activities.
The research presented in the article allowed us to propose
the author’s interpretation of such key concepts as actualization
of the need for health-saving activities and health-saving
competence of a student of a pedagogical university; to study
the substantive essence, determine the structure, stages and
conditions of the process of realizing and transforming the need
for personal and professional growth by transforming
health-saving competences into health-saving activities. |
