DIDACTIC POTENTIAL OF CHINESE SOCIAL NETWORKS IN DEVELOPING AUDITIVE COMPETENCE AMONG LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Annotation: The article is devoted to the study of the didactic potential of Chinese social networks as a tool for developing auditive competence in linguistic university students. The subject of the study is the leading national platforms: Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and Douyin. The aim of the work is to identify, systematize, and comparatively analyze their educational capabilities to provide a theoretical basis for integration into the educational process. The research is based on the hypothesis that these platforms, having typological diversity, form a complementary authentic environment that contributes to the holistic development of auditive skills. The methodological basis consists of comparative analysis and systematization, carried out using an author’s system of criteria that assesses linguistic, content-related, technicalfunctional, and pragmatic aspects of content in relation to the components of auditive competence (cognitive, operational, personal). As a result of the study, the unique didactic profiles of each platform are identified and compared. It is established that Bilibili is most effective for developing skills in perceiving extended monologue speech, Xiaohongshu — for understanding pragmatic utterances in an evaluative- recommendatory register, and Douyin — for recognizing spontaneous dialogical speech and slang. Key risks and limitations associated with the use of unadapted content are identified, and methodological principles for their minimization are proposed. The obtained results have practical significance for improving the methodology of teaching Chinese in higher education and can be used to develop teaching assignments and integrate authentic digital resources into classroom and independent work. A limitation of the study is the need for further empirical testing of the proposed principles. A promising direction is the creation of teaching materials based on the content of the studied platforms for various levels of language pr oficiency.
