The professional development of modern preschool
teachers requires greater attention to their practical
readiness and the development of an interest in innovative
activities. This is largely facilitated by the scientific and educational
centers (SECs) established at pedagogical universities.
This article examines the experience of U-Znaiki SEC, established
at Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University. The concept
of developing the professional readiness of future preschool
teachers is clarified, taking into account the inclusion
of the SEC’s potential in this process. Its potential lies in creating
conditions for closer scientific and methodological interaction
between teachers, students, and practicing teachers;
earlier inclusion of students in real-life educational practices
at the kindergarten; and students’ understanding of the essential
role of a teacher in the preschool education system, revealing
prospects for personal development and professional growth.
A significant indicator of readiness for professional
work is the value component associated with awareness
of the value of childhood itself, understanding of the role
of continuous development, and a desire to use innovative
approaches in creating conditions for children’s development.
The authors propose stages for engaging students
in the activities of the scientific and educational center:
emotional-value, value-functional, motivational-activity,
and reflective-creative, which contribute to the development
of key indicators of students’ professional readiness.
The results of a survey of students who participated
in the scientific and educational center during their university
studies are presented. Future teachers consider
the center’s activities important for gaining practical experience
working with preschoolers and emotional satisfaction
from interacting with them. |
