The article presents a theoretical justification
of the integrative theory of professional information visualization
as a meta-methodological basis for training personnel
for the tourism industry. The research is based on the synthesis
of the cartographic method of cognition of space, psychological
and pedagogical theories of the development of spatial
thinking (I. S. Yakimanskaya, P. Ya. Galperin, N. F. Talyzina)
and modern achievements of infographics and geoinformation
technologies. The essence of the graphing language as a professional
communication tool is revealed, the poly-subjectivity
of the cartographic method and its applicability to the study
of spatially distributed phenomena in various fields, including tourism, is substantiated. Special attention is paid to the application
of theory in the preparation of bachelor’s degrees
in the field of tourism. The professional tasks of industry
specialists requiring visual competence are identified: from
analyzing the tourist and recreational potential of the territory
and designing routes to developing cartographic support
for tourist products and presentation materials for tourists.
The structure of the theory is described, which includes fundamental
methodological (cartographic method of cognition),
psychological and pedagogical (theories of the development
of thinking, neurodidactics) and technological (GIS, infographics,
digital services) components. A level-based model
of graphification language acquisition is presented, including
sensory-perceptual, analytical, synthetic and creative levels,
as well as a step-by-step methodology for the formation
of visual competence, consisting of diagnostic-motivational,
theoretical-orientation, reproductive-activity, productivecreative
and reflexive-evaluative stages. The results of many
years of experimental work are presented, confirming the positive
impact of the proposed methodology on the development
of spatial thinking (an increase in indicators by 27-35%),
the quality of professional assignments (an increase
by 31-42%), the level of creative thinking (an increase
by 23-28%) and student motivation (an increase by 18-22%).
The prospects for the development of theory in the context
of digital transformation of education, including the use
of interactive maps, virtual and augmented reality technologies,
are discussed. The conclusion is made about the compliance
of the proposed theory with the requirements of the information
society and its importance for improving the quality
f training of specialists in the field of tourism. |
