At the moment, one of the strategic tasks facing
higher education institutions is to develop students’ competences
that will enable graduates to become highly professional
specialists who are actively involved in the creation of new
technologies and innovative products. The highlighted strategic
task implies structuring the educational and scientific activities
of higher education institutions. The relevance of the research
is related to the fact that higher education organizations are
structures that, according to their functionality, should carry
out scientific activities. Both high school teachers and students
participate in this activity. Therefore, there is a need to hold
such events at the university that would activate the process
of generating innovative ideas and further converting them into
innovative projects, products and services provided by higher
education institutions, regardless of the profile of future specialists.
These activities should be regular and manageable,
which implies the creation of project-oriented structures in
universities. The theoretical basis of the research was a scope
of scientific publications describing the development in Russian
universities. The author’s definition of the concept of innovative
activity in higher education is presented; its characteristic
features and classification are described. A new way of organizing
innovation activities at university is considered, which
will form students’ specific professional competences, creative
abilities and develop youth entrepreneurship. This method
is presented as a form of student innovative education, ideas
for creating a school for the development of innovative education,
and also describes a logical scheme for implementing
the idea of a school on the basis of a university. The possible
results of the implementation of a school for the development
of innovative education at university are listed. |
