The article examines the role of project-based activity
in the development of compositional thinking among students
in the system of supplementary art education. The relevance
of the study is determined by the need to move from predominantly
reproductive forms of instruction to such ways of organizing
the learning process that ensure meaningful construction of composition
and the creation of a coherent artistic image. The aim
of the research is to identify the effectiveness of the projectbased
approach in developing compositional skills and creative
abilities in children at the initial stage of artistic training. The hypothesis assumes that the systematic inclusion of projectbased
activity in the educational process promotes a deeper
understanding of compositional principles and the development
of compositional thinking compared to reproductive forms
of learning focused on copying and completing tasks according
to a model. The methodological framework of the study
is based on activity-based, learner-centered, and project-based
approaches. The article describes the main forms of organizing
project-based activity, the stages of working on an artistic project,
and the criteria for assessing the level of students’ compositional
thinking. A comparative analysis of project-based activity
and reproductive forms of learning was carried out, which
made it possible to identify the advantages of the project-based
approach: increased motivation and independence, the development
of systemic and compositional thinking, and the ability
to identify a compositional center and build a hierarchy
of elements. It is shown that project-based activity is not
opposed to reproductive tasks, but acts as their logical continuation
and extension. The results of the study make it possible to
recommend the integration of the project-based approach into
supplementary education programs in the field of decorative
and applied arts and outline directions for further development
of diagnostic methods for assessing compositional thinking. |
