This paper examines the history of the emergence
and development of AI in Russia and abroad, analyzing and systematizing
the approaches of domestic and international scholars
to understanding the phenomenon of artificial intelligence, noting
their significant diversity and the lack of a clear and generally
accepted understanding of its essence and content. It emphasizes the importance of overcoming the terminological ambiguity
of this concept for successfully addressing the technological, legal,
and ethical aspects of its application and overcoming potential
negative consequences. Based on a review of scientific and methodological
literature, the paper presents an understanding of AI
as a digital technology implemented using a computer device
with appropriate software, capable of performing intelligent processes
and independently making decisions when interacting with
the environment, adapting to changes in it, and continuously
improving. AI consists of its operating methods, which vary in their
functional capabilities (narrow, general, and superintelligent)
and the tasks they solve (machine learning, deep learning, natural
language processing, computer vision, and robotics).
Knowledge of the qualitative uniqueness of the essence
and content of AI provides the theoretical basis for further
scientific research aimed at its development, improvement,
and implementation. It allows us to determine its role
and place in various spheres of modern society, formulate
legal and ethical standards for its application, anticipate
possible negative consequences, and utilize it as a tool
for improving the effectiveness of professional activity
in various spheres of modern society. |
