EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE CULTURE OF SAFE BEHAVIOR AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE FOCUS OF DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN PEDAGOGY (2020-2025)

| Annotation: | The article provides a comparative analysis of experimental data on the current phenomenon of the culture of safe behavior (hereinafter CSB) among university students, presented in the works of domestic and foreign researchers and the author’s experience in the period 2020-2025. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying a growing gap between the components of the phenomenon and substantiating students’ social practices as a means of overcoming it. The aim of the study is to increase the effectiveness of forming a culture of safe behavior among university students. The main content of the study justifies the allocation of a new period for the study of the phenomenon of CSB (2020-2025). The specific features of this period, conditioned by the impacts of a rapidly changing world, are identified. Experimental data from teachers at Russian universities, the author’s experience, and international studies (in Bangladesh, Great Britain, India, China, Malaysia, and the USA) on various imbalances in the components of university students’ CSH are presented. The causes of these imbalances are identified—deficiencies in the educational process and students’ lack of preparation. The consequences are identified – the instability of students’ CSB leads to risky and dangerous behavior. References are provided to statistics on injuries, accidents, and incidents involving university students. Effective areas for developing university students’ CSB are classified. A comprehensive program for forming student’s CSB, tested by the author and based on an end-to-end multi-stage social practice of safe behavior, is recommending. A conclusion is drawn about the potential of social practices acting as a mediator between knowledge, motivation, and actual safe behavior. | ||
