In this paper, the author examines the phenomenon
of Russia’s cultural sovereignty in the context of globalization
and intercultural interaction. Particular attention is
paid to the Russia-China Years of Culture project (2024–2025),
aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation
in the cultural sphere. Emphasis is also placed on the historical
preconditions for the formation of cultural traditions
in both countries, highlighting the unique identity of Russian
and Chinese cultures. The study assesses the impact of cultural
exchanges on international security and stability, emphasizing
the role of culture in preserving traditional values and cultural
sovereignty. The study draws on the history of cooperation
and cultural exchange as unique phenomena for the peoples
of Russia and China. Studying the history and culture
of the great civilizations of Russia and China reveals the importance
of cultural sovereignty for maintaining the unity of peoples
and developing constructive international dialogue.
This requires targeted efforts to popularize and promote national
cultural values, traditional practices, and linguistic characteristics,
which form the foundation for the unique identity
of each nation. To achieve these goals, it is important to consider
existing international legal instruments governing state cooperation in the cultural sphere. Such documents ensure the
legal protection of cultural heritage and facilitate the exchange of
cultural achievements between countries. Furthermore, special
attention is paid to joint cultural projects initiated by Russia and
China. These projects go beyond the simple exchange of traditions
and seek to shape a shared vision of the future of the world
in the face of global challenges and threats. These joint efforts
are aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the global
community by preserving and transmitting cultural and historical
experience to future generations. Thus, strengthening cultural
sovereignty is a prerequisite for successful interaction between
peoples and states in the current international environment. |
