| Annotation: | This paper examines the works of F.V. Taranovskiy dedicated to the development of the Western European law. The methods used by the scientist can also be used in modern realities. As a supporter of sociological positivism, Taranovskiy paid attention to the development of legal institutions from several points of view: from the side of the state, from the side of society; he tried not only to analyze legal sources but also to explain why they appeared. Such a variety of approaches combined with a comparative historical method makes it possible to predict the future legal climate. |
