The theme of the research is the analysis of the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions of young players taking into account the level of development of professionally important psychological qualities. The analysis of the state of the problem of the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions of the players showed its lack of knowledge. The study of the effectiveness of competitive activity of Russian players of high qualification revealed a low level. The effectiveness of technical and tactical actions of Russian players is much lower than foreign ones. The aim of this study was to study the level of development of professionally important psychological qualities and their impact on the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions of young players. To do this, we used a set of techniques to identify the level of development of qualities of players of different preparedness. We assumed that the accuracy of hitting the ball on goal from various positions is related to the level of development of a number of psychological qualities of the players. To test this assumption, we tested psychological qualities of young football players from two training groups of different qualifications and ages 12–13 years (initial sports specialization stage) and 15–16 years (advanced sports specialization stage). The level of development of the following qualities was revealed: reflexivity, noise immunity, intuition, and reaction to a moving object, ability to psychoregulation, switching attention, speed and accuracy of mental actions. The choice of these psychological qualities was based on the analysis of special psychological literature. In terms of training determined the accuracy of hitting the ball on goal: from the summer, after lumbago, penalty. The number of shots and the number of hits the ball into the goal were recorded. There was a percentage of hits the ball into the goal, which characterizes the effectiveness of the attacking actions of a football player. The scientific novelty of the study consists of the results: the average and low level of development of a number of psychological qualities in young players (noise immunity, reflexivity, intuition, reaction to a moving object, the ability to psychoregulation, attention, thinking), which has a negative impact on the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions: shots on goal from different positions (from the fly, penalty, after a shooting). The interrelation of accuracy of technical and tactical actions with the level of development of the studied qualities is shown. The results are recommended to be used in the training of young players studying in sports schools.
