JUSTIFICATION OF THE COMPETENCES FOR APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING DECISIONS NECESSARY FOR A MODERN OFFICER

The article examines the issues of forming competencies for the use in the decision-making process by the future officers, their relevance, novelty and significance for the professional activity of a modern officer. The author shows the criteria for the formation of competencies, methods and means of forming the competencies of future officers, as a result of the need to informatize military education. The author analyzes existing approaches to defining the concept of “competence for the use of information technologies in the decision-making process of future officers„. The article deals with the content, structure, components, criteria and indicators of the formation of this competence among students of higher education. The features of competence formation and the factors that determine the process of its formation in a military University are noted. In General, the integral structure of competence for the use of information technology in the decision-making process of the future officer is allocated Information, technological, target, algorithmic, motivational, creative, organizational and reflexive components. All the selected components are interrelated, interdependent and considered in accordance with the system of competence and frame approaches. The article describes the methods used to identify the needs and opportunities for developing competence in the use of information technologies in the decision-making process of future officers, and the results of the formative stage of the experiment. In conclusion, the article notes that the formed competence will allow the officer to work correctly with information at each stage of decision-making in the future, be able to forecast the results of their actions, analyze input information, build algorithms for alternative solutions, find the optimal solution to the problem, as well as use modern highly intelligent military computer equipment, be able to instill skills of working with information to subordinates.
