Annotation:

Production of greenhouse vegetables is the most important and priority sub-sector of crop production allowing to provide the population with products during the off-season period, to reduce the volume of imports of greenhouse products. From the perspective of the study, the market for greenhouse vegetables is considered as a system of economic entities engaged in production, processing, maintenance and consumption, entering into economic relations at different stages of the life cycle of greenhouse vegetables, which forms the product supply and consumer demand for products. Currently, the greenhouse business in Russia is characterized by intensive development, as evidenced by the introduction of modern technologies for the cultivation of vegetables of protected soil into the production, modernization of existing and construction of new greenhouse complexes. As part of the study, a market analysis was carried out in the following areas: dynamics of greenhouse areas in agricultural organizations, dynamics of production of greenhouse vegetables and average prices for them, structure of imports of vegetables, dynamics of exports and imports of vegetables, total market capacity of greenhouse vegetables, provision of greenhouses with vegetables relative to the established consumption standards in the context of federal districts, the deficit of domestic production of greenhouse vegetables relative to the established consumption standard Niya in the context of federal districts. A set of factors has been developed that influence the development of the market for greenhouse vegetables. Shown are small-scale greenhouse farms relative to large-scale specialized complexes, since the latter have the ability to comprehensively mechanize business processes, rational use of specialized equipment and labor resources, increase labor productivity and maximize profits.
