To study modern motivational mechanisms that increases labor efficiency, it was proposed to consider motivation through a number of mutually dependent criteria. The criteria that were taken as a basis were emotional involvement and satisfaction with work. It is found that the concept of involvement has a multidimensional construction and allows contributing to the development of a positive or negative attitude to work. In the process of empirical research, we paid attention to methods that state the degree of emotional involvement and reveal the employee’s satisfaction with his work. The analysis was based on social needs, and those were analyzed by the degree of emotional involvement of the employee. Groups of subjects were identified in which the mechanisms of emotional involvement were studied in detail. The results showed that employees have different levels of satisfaction of their need for obtaining social status, forming connections with people, and self-realization. All of these three conditions were positively associated with emotional engagement and motivation levels. According to the final indicators, groups with high and medium levels of satisfaction of social needs were identified, these subjects have a high emotional involvement. A decrease in the level of work motivation and positive attitude to work was revealed in the group of subjects with a low level of satisfaction of the studied social needs. The state of the motivational sphere was assessed by such indicators as the performance, optimism and commitment to work, self-assessment of professional competence and the degree of success in working with people. Based on the results of the work, ways to improve to the efficiency of labor activity through the formation of a high positive emotional involvement of employees are identified. Thus, emotional involvement in work may be the most appropriate theoretical model for identifying motivational mechanisms that contribute to the formation of highly committed and engaged employees.
