Annotation:

The article deals with the issue of effectiveness of the use of distance learning technologies. The widespread introduction of electronic technology promoting development of educational institutions is one of the indicators of the high quality of the educational process in crisis situations. The unexpected transition to distance learning has become a kind of growth point for universities, which made it possible to start the process of creation of a system of online learning courses. The advantages of the use of distance learning technologies in terms of digitization are considered in this study. The article explains the need of creation of online courses based on interdisciplinary connections. As a result of the conducted study, it can be concluded that the advantages of the use of distance learning technologies are obvious. Students master various types of independent work and acquire a range of important skills: the ability to work according to a set plan, experiment, complete assignments independently or in a group (in a group project), use various sources to obtain information, analyze and interpret information in compliance with the assignment, implement projects with the use of digital technology, make decisions, present projects to the audience and evaluate the results of the work (self-analysis), as well as trace obvious and non-obvious interdisciplinary connections. Universities must develop the informational infrastructure, raise the level of psychological readiness of professors and students to use digital platforms and services in the educational process, provide the conditions forming practical skills of professors for the use of digital educational content in the creation of online courses. The development of distance learning technologies will make universities more competitive since they will be able to offer unique educational courses to a wider range of interested Russian and foreign students. The results of the conducted research can be applied for a deeper study of the methods of use of distance learning technologies in the context of creation of a modern digital educational environment.
