FEATURES OF THE FORMATION AND EVALUATION OF PROFESSIONAL AND VALUE ORIENTATIONS OF STUDENTS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF HUMANITARIAN EDUCATION IN A MILITARY UNIVERSITY

Annotation:

This scientific article includes a theoretical and practical study of the problem of the formation of professional and value orientations in students of military educational organizations of higher education of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The article describes the organizational, technological, scientific and methodological foundations for the formation of value orientations among cadets of military universities. The practical experience of the Penza branch of the Military Academy of Material and Technical Support named after Army General A. V. Khrulev is presented. A detailed description of the military-pedagogical model of the development of value orientations is given, taking into account the block of goal-setting, axiology, programming and monitoring. A special place in the work is given to the structure of professional and value orientations of a military specialist. The criteria of their formation are highlighted: the axiological criterion (understanding of the value of the work of a serviceman, a positive attitude to the future military professional activity, awareness of the significance of the status of a serviceman); meaning and purpose criterion (the presence of cognitive motives, the need to master knowledge, acquirements, skills, competencies in the military sphere); activity criterion (the formation of professional skills and abilities, readiness to improve and use them in the military sphere); professional criterion (readiness for professional activity, the manifestation of professionally significant qualities of the soldier’s personality, the mastery of professional competencies). All the information in the course of the experiment about the formation of professional and value orientations given in the work was obtained by means of diagnostic procedures, which included observation, individual and group conversations, questionnaires, surveys, and analysis of the results of the cadets’ activities. The formation of professional and value orientations of future military specialists depends on the level of their professional orientation (motivation, intentions, interests, inclinations, ideals); value orientations (meaning of work, salary, welfare, qualifications, career, social status, etc.); professional position (attitude to the profession, attitudes, expectations and readiness for professional development). The article contributes to the development of military humanitarian education.
