INTEGRATED METHOD OF TEACHING BASICS OF BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

Annotation:

The article describes experience of integrated teaching the basics of business communication to students in the framework of studying academic subjects “Psychology” and “Professional foreign language”. The competence model of modern education requires a comprehensive approach to the formation of students’ professional knowledge and skills, which presupposes introducing innovative teaching techniques, means and forms of education. Integrated teaching is one of the most effective forms of teaching cycles of disciplines, within which it is possible to implement joint collective creative projects, teach students basic knowledge and business communication skills. Such method promotes a professionally conscious language acquisition. The authors offer an example of correlation of the subjects of academic programs on the example of the formation of the basics of business communication among students; a calendar plan of disciplines with a correlation of topics and a description of methods and means of their study has been developed. The experience of introducing integrated forms of education in the training of future sports coaches in the 2020/2021 academic year has shown that with such training, future professionals form systemic, comprehensive knowledge, establish links between facts and phenomena viewed through the prism of different scientific fields. The authors describe the competencies being formed, according to the Federal State Educational Standard 3++ for the training area under consideration. The analyzed results of the session show that the quality of knowledge and motivation of students to study disciplines has significantly increased. In addition, the results of the final testing on the level of formation of students’ business communication skills and abilities show that the level of manifestation of communicative and organizational inclinations has significantly increased.
