Annotation:

The article presents the rationale for the need to study the artistic and aesthetic development of younger students. The author substantiates the position that the artistic and aesthetic development of younger schoolchildren is an important aspect of the full-fledged formation of the child’s personality. At present, the study of the artistic and aesthetic development of children of primary school age is becoming relevant. The relevance of the study is due to the doctrine dictated by society and the state on the need to form a full-fledged human personality from an early age. One of the leaders in this direction is the artistic and aesthetic development of the individual. This article raises the question of the study of the artistic and aesthetic development of students of primary school age. The author conducted a study of the artistic and aesthetic development of children of primary school age, which involved children aged 9 to 10 years. All the students attend a general education organization that implements a program of primary general education. The main research methods are presented and described [the Interview questionnaire, the Van Gogh Test (E. M. Torshilova and T. V. Morozova), R. Cattell’s multifactorial questionnaire and their subsequent interpretation]. The study was conducted using information and communication technologies, namely, Google forms, in which questionnaires were presented, which made it possible to increase the motivation of students of primary school age to take part in the study. The article presents and analyzes the data obtained during the study on the artistic and aesthetic development of students of primary school age. The study allowed us to draw some conclusions about the peculiarities of the perception of works of art by younger schoolchildren, the level of aesthetic education and verbal intelligence of students. The conclusion was also made about the need for additional work aimed at the artistic and aesthetic development of students of primary school age who participated in the study.
