Annotation:

Within the framework of this article, the problems of special criminological prevention of environmental crime as a negative social phenomenon, as well as processes occurring with nature, the correct perception of these processes, their impact on humans and the environment are considered. Currently, environmental criminology has become an independent field of knowledge, which has given impetus to countering crimes that violate the nature and environment. It is necessary to change the tools and methods in the field of preventing environmental crimes; expanding the tools used by environmental criminologists, strengthening their positions and increasing the number of specialists who could conduct research and propose preventive measures that meet the requirements of the time. The most popular way to prevent environmental crimes is the work aimed at improving the current legislation, which regulates issues related to environmental management, protection and conservation of resources. Legal entities should become subjects of criminal responsibility for committing crimes in the field of environmental security, since the question of the responsibility of legal entities for committing environmental crimes is extremely relevant. It is often through the creation of legal entities that the preparation for the commission of crimes takes place, and in such cases the legal entity itself could be considered as a way of committing an environmental crime. At the same time, it should be noted that the state of the environment isatanunsatisfactorylevel.Highlevelsofairandwaterpollutionare recorded in cities; deterioration of agricultural land due to contamination with heavy metals and other hazardous substances. The most serious damage to the ecological situation on a large territory of Russia was caused by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986. The areas affected by the Chernobyl accident include the Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga and Oryol regions. And the greatest damage was caused to environmental safety in the Bryansk region.
