This article presents the experience of organizing
activities to develop children’s value attitude toward
health in a children’s health camp setting, based on a developed
program. The authors demonstrate that health is becoming
crucial in modern society and is considered the foundation
of social stability and national development. They emphasize the need to organize educational activities with children
and adolescents so that they are focused on developing a conscious
attitude toward the values of health and the development
of corresponding skills and habits for health-preserving
behavior. The authors examine the concept of value attitude
toward health, drawing on research on the topic and the works
of G. A. Khakimova, N. A. Shmoilova, and E. V. Vodneva.
The paper defines the concept of health as a socially significant
value. While studying the methodological component
of developing value attitude toward health in children and
adolescents, the “Healthy Summer” program was developed
and implemented at the Mary Poppins children’s health camp
in Togliatti. Children were integrated into the active environment
of the summer health camp through interactive pastimes
(outdoor activities, quests, bluff clubs, workshops, and hikes)
and methods (landings, creative writing, fireworks, situational
tasks, inventive problem solving, business games, and
role-playing games). The diagnostics demonstrated the success
of the camp’s work in developing sustainable skills
and habits that promote health maintenance and improvement,
as well as the students’ readiness to apply the acquired knowledge
in their daily lives. |
