The expansion into the educational process
of information influences on the student’s consciousness uncontrolled
by teachers, the need to take into account the risks
of digitalization and ensure the safety of education have actualized
the problem of providing teachers with a coherent theoretical
apparatus adequate to the tasks of preparing students
for ensuring cognitive safety. The purpose of the article is to
describe the student’s cognitive safety as a pedagogical concept.
The research methodology is based on the dual preventivecultural
concept of ensuring the safety of education, systemsynergistic,
axiological, cultural approaches, integration theory,
and the theory of intellectual activity. The article reveals
the generic characteristic of the concept of student’s cognitive
safety and its specific distinctions, a comparison of related concepts
is made, the conceptual apparatus of the concept of cognitive
safety of education is replenished, cognitive threats and objects
of their impact are identified, the levels and stages of development
of the student’s cognitive safety are presented. The student’s
cognitive safety is considered as a state of well-being
of all elements of the student’s consciousness, provided with
educational and pedagogical measures to protect consciousness
and manifested in the readiness of a university graduate for safe
follow-up and independent overcoming of cognitive threats.
Cognitive safety, developed by a student in the educational process to the level of “overcoming,” is a condition of his readiness
to independently deal with cognitive threats arising in educational,
social and future professional activities. The definition
of the concept of student’s cognitive safety is a solution to
the urgent problem of streamlining the concept of cognitive safety
of education. The results can serve as a guide for researchers
in the field of education safety, teachers, specialists in the field
of cognitive safety. |
