The article examines contemporary Russian
and Chinese psychological and pedagogical research addressing
the problem of patriotic education of school students. The relevance
of the topic is determined by the growing attention
to the formation of civic-patriotic values in the educational policy
of Russia and China. Music education, which possesses considerable
educational potential and exerts a distinct influence on
the emotional and value sphere of the personality, acquires particular
significance in this context. The aim of the study is to identify
and compare the theoretical-methodological approaches, methodological
solutions and research directions presented in Russian
and Chinese scholarly publications from 2019 to 2025. Special attention is paid to the analysis of works devoted
to the use of musical art in the patriotic education of adolescents.
The methodological basis of the study comprises
the principles of comparative pedagogy as well as methods
of theoretical analysis, scholarly synthesis and comparative
study of psychological and pedagogical sources. The conducted
analysis has shown that the Russian research tradition is
predominantly oriented towards the empirical-analytical study
of patriotic attitudes, the application of diagnostic instruments
and the development of age-appropriate approaches to educational
work. Chinese research, by contrast, is characterized
by a pronounced systemic-constructive orientation and attention
to the institutional mechanisms of organizing patriotic
education. At the same time, in both research traditions
music education is regarded as a significant means of fostering
civic-patriotic qualities and emotional-value orientations
in learners. The findings indicate that these research traditions
are complementary in nature. The theoretical significance
of the study lies in the systematization and comparison
of contemporary Russian and Chinese approaches to patriotic
education as well as in clarifying the possibilities for their
comparative pedagogical analysis. The practical significance
of the work is associated with the possibility of using
the obtained results in the development of educational programs,
upbringing strategies and international projects
in the field of music education and patriotic upbringing. |
