The article examines a project session as a form
of professional development for teachers of Russian as a foreign
language in Uzbekistan. The study is based on the original methodological
design “What Do I Know About Russia?”, focused
on discussing everyday life, values, interpersonal relations,
etiquette norms, and rituals of Russian culture. The relevance
of the topic stems from the fact that in teacher training and
retraining practice the cultural component is often mastered fragmentarily
and is not always transformed into a system of specific
methodological solutions. The paper shows that a project session
makes it possible to combine the communicative approach,
project-based learning, and the jigsaw technique in a natural
and pedagogically productive way, ensuring collective analysis
of information, speech interaction, expert exchange, and subsequent
adaptation of the material to different language proficiency
levels. The article describes the aims, objectives, stages, and
thematic blocks of the project session, as well as the mechanisms
for developing teachers’ socio-cultural and cross-cultural competencies.
The scientific novelty of the study lies in clarifying
the methodological
potential of the project session in the system
of training
teachers of Russian as a foreign language and in
identifying the conditions for its effective use in a multicultural educational environment. The practical significance of the work
lies in the possibility of applying the proposed model in professional
development courses, school practice, and in designing
language classes aimed at preventing intercultural difficulties
and developing
teachers’ professional reflection. |
