The article is devoted to the study of psychomotor
determinants of effective partner interaction (“partner sense”)
in dancesport. The relevance of the work is due to the prevalence
in the scientific literature of an external, methodological
approach to the problem of synchrony, with insufficient attention
to its internal, individual prerequisites. The purpose
of the study is to provide a theoretical justification and empirical
verification of the significance of the parameters of the stability
of the individual psychomotor profile and the synchrony
of the partners’ profiles as key determinants of “partner
sense” in dancesport. The authors put forward a hypothesis
that the success of interaction is determined not only by the level
of technical skill, but also by two integral characteristics
of the “partner-partner” system: the smoothness of each
dancer’s cognitive-motor responses and the degree of consistency
in their psychomotor patterns. The theoretical analysis
confirms that existing methods for developing consistency
need to be supplemented with diagnostic tools that allow
for the assessment and consideration of these hidden parameters.
The relevance of the work is due to the need to move
from intuitive assessments of interaction to its objective diagnosis
based on quantitative psychophysiological indicators.
The study operationalizes a new definition of “partner sense”
through two independent parameters: stability (standard deviation
of the individual profile) and synchrony (correlation
coefficient of the pair profiles). Using standardized computer
testing, three empirical types of pair interaction were identified
and described in a sample of 14 dance pairs of varying
qualifications: “stable-synchronous”, “variable-complementary”,
and “discordant”. The obtained results confirm that
the proposed two-factor model has a high diagnostic value,
allowing differentiating the nature of problems in interaction.
The developed technique represents a practical tool for coaches
and sports psychologists, aimed at accurate diagnostics,
forecasting of teamwork and development of targeted correction
programs for dance couples. |
