This scientific article provides an overview
of approaches to defining the role of the knowledge economy
as a tool for strategic territorial development. Currently, during
the period of the geopolitical and economic crisis, the dissemination
of knowledge, information, scientific developments,
and research should play a significant role in order to further
reproduce high-tech products, new types of services, technologies,
and materials. As President of Russia has set the goal
of achieving technological leadership and developing automation,
digitalization, and robotization, it is necessary to create
a system of close cooperation between government agencies,
educational institutions, research organizations, and industrial
enterprises. It is already important to form the components
of the knowledge economy in order to successfully implement
the country’s leadership goals and ensure the competitiveness
of the territories. The author’s understanding of the components
of the knowledge economy takes into account education (knowledge
dissemination), scientific development and research,
and the introduction of innovations into production. The article
focuses on knowledge as structured information that contributes
to the further production of new knowledge, the creation
of new types of products, technologies, and services. Innovations are viewed as “guides” for transforming traditional industries,
improving production efficiency, and creating conditions
for sustainable economic growth in the territories. The author
provides statistical data on the level of innovation activity
in organizations of the Ural Federal District in order to determine
the dynamics of adaptation and strategic regulation
of territories to the conditions of the knowledge economy.
The development
of scientific potential is closely related to
education. Improving the quality of human capital through
the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence
creates an impetus for developing strategic development
guidelines. |
