RESULTS OF THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PROTECTION LEVEL OF THE POPULATION OF VOLGOGRAD REGION AND ITS READINESS FOR PROVIDING FOR PERSONAL SAFETY

The issue of the level of protection of the population of the region, providing for personal and property safety of citizens, first of all – of the under age people and the youth, main stages of establishment, development and examination of the said issue in the region, both from theoretical and applied points of view, has been investigated in the article. The comparative analysis of selective questioning of respondents performed in 2004 and 2001 has been proposed. The main conclusions resulted from the examination have been presented: high level of distrust of the citizens to the state policy in the area of providing for the population safety has been found-out; the civil self-consciousness of significant part of population of the region, first of all in the regional center, grew up for the last seven years.
