On insurance of the compensation fund of self-regulatory organizations

The article discusses the problems associated with the formation and development of the institution of self-regulation in Russia. The analysis of the problem of functioning of insurance protection of the members of self-regulatory organizations (SROs) is made. The author also raises the issue of security of the compensation fund and its reimbursement in case of the license withdrawal from banks, on which accounts such funds is placed. Critical thinking is exposed to the initiative of insurers for insurance of the compensation fund as contradicting to the essence of the concept and not taking into account the interests of the policy-holders. The issues of poor literacy of SRO in terms of qualified assessment of the damage to be reimbursed by means of compensation fund.
