Annotation:

The article examines the process of formation of foreign lexical and syntactic competence as a means of overcoming language interference. The author clarifies definitions of foreign language lexical and syntactical competence; systematizes typical errors of lexical and syntactic levels arising from the interfering influence of the native language; offers a system of exercises to eliminate typical lexical and syntactical mistakes of learners; shows the interdependence of lexico-syntactic realizations of language with mentality and cognitive perception of life by representatives of different linguacultures according to parameters «active»/«passive contemplation » and «personal responsibility»/«submission to fate».
