FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT OF INSURANCE IN THE SPHERE OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS

This article analyzes the insurance market in the field of physical culture and sports. The authors focus on the need to develop insurance in sports, as sport is one of the priorities of the social policy of the state. The main strategic objectives in the field of physical culture and sports for the period up to 2020 are described. The description of the insured events is provided, which are the most common in the field of physical culture and sports. The main types of insurance in sports are presented Examples of injuries in different sports that are subject to insurance are given. An assessment of the regulatory framework in this area is presented, which draws attention to the fact that the country does not have a system of insurance of athletes at all levels, which would have a single legislative framework. The features of the conclusion of the insurance contract of athletes and the insurance company are described. The most popular types of insurance of professional athletes are determined. Their illegal aspects are revealed. The authors assess the development of the regional insurance market in the field of physical culture and sports. According to the authors, this determines the wrong path of development of the insurance business in sports. The problems of its development are revealed and measures for their elimination are offered, with the help of which insurers are obliged to overestimate the potential of the athletes’ insurance market segment and the possibility of the insurance market development in the field of sports.
