DEVELOPING OF STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES IN SOLVING MANAGERIAL PROBLEMS IN LEARNING THE COURSE “MANAGEMENT” AT THE UNIVERSITY

Annotation:

The article demonstrates the authors’ results of theoretical studies and teaching experience that relate with developing of the student’s professional skills and abilities in solving managerial problems as part of the course «Management» at the university. Educational course is worked out according to the new standard FSES HE 3++ with the use of competency-activity approach. The authors deepened activity part of the course by using the system-thinking methodology basic principles that was developed by the Russian researchers. The basic principles that students will learn in “Management” course, which us stated by the authors, include the model of reflection within the framework of the activities’ ontology and the methods of project organizational adjustments. The study of these principles creates the basis of development of thinking of future specialists in management in the face of changing external and internal organization’s environment, allow them effectively solving managerial problems. The system-thinking methodology emphasizes the indirect connection of thinking and activity through reflection, communication and comprehension. Future specialists in economy and management should be prepared to work with problems in their subject area — management of a commercial company (organization, according to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). This research represents the authors’ approach to developing and teaching of the “Management” course, more specified mechanism and complemented reflection’s model of activity that contribute to effectively solving managerial problems. This is achieved at the expense of harmony of the managerial situations understanding, the using of the thinking methodology, improvement of activities and development of the manager’s personality. The study describes the basics of organizing the project approach and project organizational adjustments for avoiding managerial problems and supporting organizational development.
