FORMATION OF THE GENERAL CULTURAL COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY DISTANCE LEARNING

The article discusses the process of formation of the general cultural competence of OK-6 of the FSES of HE on the example of distance learning of students of the architectural department of the discipline “Traditions of Religious Russian Culture”. The study describes the identified conditions of effectiveness of the investigated process, describes the methods of its educational and methodological support; problems are revealed and ways to solve them are indicated. The purpose of the article is to present the results of the use of distance learning methods at the university taking into account the requirements of students’ competencybased training. In the process of research, the task of forming the general cultural competence of students using modern Internet technologies was solved. The authors used: development of a questionnaire on effectiveness of the distance learning techniques; creation of a bank of guidelines for completing assignments and monitoring their effectiveness; monitoring the process of formation of general cultural competence of students; qualitative analysis of educational products, computer processing of the obtained data, etc. 120 people took part in the experiment. The result is reliable confirmation of the students’ general cultural competence, which suggests that students are ready for teamwork; they have formed a tolerant attitude toward religious, socio-ethnic, cultural differences in their upcoming professional activities through a comprehensive study of the characteristics of religious beliefs in the context of changes in historical paradigms in development of the Russian statehood. According to respondents, the use of techniques focused on the collective performance of tasks, watching videos, listening to audio lectures, making tests using constructors, holding correspondence photo exhibitions and virtual excursions, creation of copyright videos and other techniques were effective and useful in the learning process.
