The article explores the innovative-integrative approach and how to implement it through the olympiad component when teaching gifted students to the subjects of the natural science cycle. Chemistry is classified as a natural science discipline and is considered as difficult for mastering for the majority of students because it is pretty logical science and requires development of the cause-and-effect links. In order to attract the attention of gifted students, to reinforce their interest in learning the offered subject, to connect the learning process with solving practical problems, the one can use practical implementation of integrative links, at the integrated lessons and events, when the other subjects from the natural science cycle are integrated into the subject of chemistry. In this case, a gifted student is recognized as the main goal and value of an innovative pedagogical process based on an innovative and integrative approach, focused on the formation of social and professional qualities, in which the innovative development of both students and teachers takes place. The aim of the study is to implement an innovative and integrative approach through the olympiad component when teaching gifted students. The innovative and integrative approach refers to the process of including an innovative element in the content of pedagogical resources of the subjects of the natural science cycle for successful implementation, the planned individual educational trajectory, leading to progressive results. An innovative element in the content of the subjects of the natural science cycle for increasing the level of integrity of the knowledge system is the olympiad component, thanks to which an innovative and integrative approach will be implemented and research will be carried out in the conditions of innovation of pedagogical resources. The study lasted three years, from 2017 to 2020; the study involved 150 students from eighth to eleventh grade at the base sites of the study. Results of the study: updating the content of pedagogical resources; replicating unique experiences; developing and implementing an innovative and integrative approach that determines the success of teaching gifted students.
