The active use of the Anti-plagiarism system at the higher educational institutions when checking works for borrowing has led to fraudulent actions by some students for leveling the work of this system using the Anti-plagiarism killer program. This program by introducing special characters into the text or encoding the document being checked by the technical methods increases the “originality” of the work. The methodology developed by us allows identifying changes made to the text and preventing fraud during verification. The article is the first to present four ways of identifying the consequences of processing a text or file with an Anti-plagiarism killer program. The first way is to find in the words circumflex (or other symbols), which are hardly noticeable. The second way is to replace the letter “o” in the words with an outwardly very similar unicode character “0”. The third way is to replace the soft sing“ь” in words with the solid sign “ъ” (as an example of replacing letters with a simple macro). The fourth method is encoding text (Microsoft Word text editor file). There are other ways to level the operation of the system Anti-plagiarism.vuz and their number is constantly increasing. For their potential detection, recommendations are given for setting up the Microsoft Word text editor to quickly identify suspicious files. The vulnerability of the Anti-plagiarism.vuz system is shown. Wishes to improve the Anti-plagiarism.vuz system are integrated with the default functions. The conclusions made show the imperfection and vulnerability of the Anti-plagiarism.vuz system, the possibility of further use of fraudulent actions by students to increase the “uniqueness” of work. The identification of fraudulent activities falls on the verifier and his information literacy in this matter.
