TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER: GENESIS OF DEVELOPMENT AND MODERN WAYS OF COMMERCIALIZATION

Technology transfer is the basis for the effective development of modern economic systems. The speed of introduction of new technologies, the processes of economic modernization, and the economic growth of economic entities depend on how perfect the existing mechanism of technology transfer is. In the article, the authors consider the Genesis of the development of the term “technology transfer” in the domestic and foreign economic literature. The author’s interpretation of the term “technology transfer” is given as a process of transferring knowledge and information that contributes to the effective development of economic systems within the framework of current legislation, taking into account the opportunities and the achieved level of development of society. According to the authors, the term “technology transfer” has undergone several stages of evolution: technology transfer as a separate science; technology transfer as a process of knowledge transfer; technology transfer as a contractual relationship for the transfer of knowledge and information. The article reveals modern ways of commercialization of tranfer technologies in relation to agriculture in the conditions of digitalization of the agricultural economy. An improved method of technology transfer is proposed, taking into account the opportunities of the digital economy, based on the creation of specialized unified digital scientific and technological platforms. According to the authors, the most popular ways to commercialize technologies for agriculture in modern conditions will be the exchange of information, engineering, as well as the creation of technical support agreements. The research was based on the analysis of the fundamental provisions and principles of economic theory, the theory of economic development, the theory of economic efficiency, the review of scientific works of leading scientists, as well as official statistical information. The results and conclusions presented in this article can be used by researchers and researchers in the field of technology transfer, as well as used by all interested parties.
