TO THE CONCEPT OF EDUCATIONAL COMPETENCE OF THE TEACHER OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS

In the context of the complexity of the tasks facing education, the requirements for the teacher, his professionalism and personal qualities are increasing. Educational tasks are reflected in the Strategy for the Development of Education in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025. It develops the mechanisms provided for in the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, which guarantees the provision of upbringing as an integral part of education, interconnected with teaching. It is worth noting the introduction of a new school position in education, which will be called an advisor to the director on educational work. The functions of this employee should be to develop a strategy for the development of the education system of the school based on a deep analysis of external and internal factors affecting the educational process, to prepare a regulatory framework governing the education system, as well as to draw up a system for assessing the quality of the educational process, selecting specialists of the educational sphere and creating a system of motivation for teachers and students. The aim of the study is to consider the essence of the concept of educational competence and propose methods for forming the educational competence of a teacher in physical culture and sports. In this article, the authors turn to the history of the emergence of the concept of educational competence of a teacher in physical culture and sports. The tasks of educational process carried out by sports teachers and trainers are considered. The structure of the concept is presented, its essence is determined, as well as methods for forming educational competence of a teacher in physical culture and sports are proposed. This article will be useful for teachers and students of pedagogical universities, where physical education teachers and sports coaches are trained.
