The article deals with the actual problems of the prosecutor’s office, arising in the practical sphere when prosecutorial officers exercise supervisory powers in the field of enforcement of the provisions of legislation regulating the consideration and resolution of certain types of citizens’ appeals. The subject of the study consists of legal and regulatory norms related to the actions of citizens to implement the legally enshrined right to file an appeal, materials of prosecutorial practice, statistical reporting data. The purpose of the work is to study the specifics of legal and organizational and methodological problems that arise in the process of implementation and resolution by certain categories of citizens of constitutionally enshrined rights to prepare and send various types of appeals to public authorities and administration. The author sets the task analyze the data that make up the empirical base of the study, and theoretical developments on the activities of participants in prosecutorial and supervisory relations in the field of public relations under consideration. The results of the study show that the most common situations are those related to the lack of clear legal regulation of the actions of citizens and officials at specific stages of the process under consideration for the implementation by individual citizens of the right to various types of appeals. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to form a unified approach to understanding and applying the provisions of federal legislation and the departmental regulatory framework by all stakeholders, including officials of state executive authorities. There is a need for further consideration of the organization and provision of accessible electronic forms for sending individual appeals to the prosecutor’s office, the implementation of actions to form an effective feedback mechanism that ensures comprehensiveness and objectivity when considering citizens’ complaints. Based on the results of the analysis, the author suggests recommendations for identifying and suppressing violations of laws, proposals for improving the human rights function by the prosecutor’s office.
