Annotation:

The article presents a study of the process of filling teachers’ professional deficits in the conditions of additional education. The purpose is to study the problems in teachers’ professional and personal development and substantiate a new form of work with teachers in the conditions of additional education — “Ural Schools of Teachers” — aimed at overcoming their professional deficits: communicative, psychological and pedagogical, subject-methodical and digital. The methodological basis is the idea of a person’s professional and personal improvement throughout his life, consideration of additional education as a means of personal movement in accordance with his educational request, creation of optimal conditions for filling teachers’ professional deficits. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the activities of the “Ural Schools of Teachers” organized on the basis of the Center for Continuous Professional Development “Teacher of the Future” in Ekaterinburg, the authors substantiate a new form of work with teachers — the “Ural School of Teachers”, which combines formal and informal education, addressed to teaching staff and heads of educational organizations. A comparative analysis of the activities of the “Ural Schools of Teachers” for three years is carried out. The criteria of the analysis are: the names of schools, quantitative composition, frequency, content, subject matter, forms of interaction with network partners, qualitative results (satisfaction of teachers and heads of educational organizations), and identified professional deficits. The novelty of the research lies in a comprehensive assessment of the empirical experience of the “Ural Schools of Teachers” in the conditions of the Center for Continuing Professional Development “Teacher of the Future” in Ekaterinburg. The practical significance lies in the development of software and methodological support for the activities of the “Ural School of Teachers” in various subjects, which can be replicated in a wide educational practice of the system of continuous professional development of teaching staff. The perspective of the research is the development of practical recommendations for the organization and conduct of Ural teachers’ school.
