High sports results and sports longevity in modern sports depend not only on the talent of the athlete, but also on the rational construction of the process of sports training, which includes the construction of the training process, its implementation and, directly, monitoring of the athlete’s progress. The ongoing control allows you to measure and evaluate various indicators of an athlete`s fitness, according to the results of which, the coach is able to change and adjust training loads based on the objective data obtained. Therefore, rational management of the training process involves setting specific tasks according to their priority. The paper presents the results of a study on the problem of managing the macrocycle training process of swimmers aged 14—15 using an ongoing control plan with in-depth adjustment of load components. Approaches to managing the macrocycle training process with an ongoing control are studied. The components of the load are identified, which are subject to in-depth adjustment in the training process using the ongoing control. The authors have developed a methodology for an ongoing control plan as a basis for managing the training process of 14—15 year old swimmers in a macrocycle, based on the introduction of in-depth adjustments of load components. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed comprehensive control plan showed that the results of overcoming the competitive distance of 100 m by the chosen swimming stroke, the increase in the average indicator of the control group for swimmers specializing in breaststroke was from 1.11.38 to 1.10.80, and for crawl swimmers from 57.36 to 57.34. In the experimental group, the increase in the average result of breaststroke swimmers was from 1.10,98 to 1.08,99 and crawl swimmers from 57.6 to 55.96. In the course of the study, the results of breaststroke swimmers improved statistically significantly.
