In article the urgency and necessity of diagnostics of industrial potential of the machine-building enterprise and decrease in stochasticity of its development is considered. It is shown that a component of economic management methods manufacture is the analysis of efficiency of innovative projects offered to realization. Its methods should help identify and use reserves, choose optimum variants of achievement of the greatest results at the least expenses. Carrying out diagnostics of potential and estimating existing period developments of the enterprise with use of complex criterion of innovation, the analytical base for the further and important point – strategic forecasting of complex development of the enterprise is created.
